6 Things you can do right now when feeling overwhelmed

We all know the feeling. Feeling overwhelmed with your photography business when there is no end to your to-do list, and you simply don’t know where to start. Here are six things you can do right now that will help you have a productive and fun day!

  1. [ 5 min ] Make a brain dump of all the tasks that you want to or need to do.
  2. [ 5 min ] Make a brain dump of all the thoughts that are going on in your head right now. Preferably with pen and paper instead of computer.
  3. [ 1 min ] Close your eyes – Breath Deep – Feel your body – Relax & Breath
  4. [ 10 min ] Look at your thoughts brain dump. Are these nice, uplifting thoughts? No? Replace them with an opposite though.
    For example: I will not get enough bookings for next year, I am a failure.
    Replace with: I am doing better and better every day, my bookings will come and I will have enough bookings next year.
    Don’t sweat it, these are just thoughts right? You can change them.
  5. [ 1 min ] Close your eyes – Repeat the positive thoughts – Be aware how your feeling shifts
  6. [ 5 min] Drink lots of water and prioritize your list from step 1. Ask yourself: “What would make me super proud, feel fulfilled, etc if I got that (partly) done today?” – Start with that task!
