3 Steps to getting what you want from your photography business

Have you thought about the things you want to get from your photography business? Have you decided on what you want to achieve as a professional photographer? Be a project planning photographer right now with these three ultimate steps!

1. Set a GoalCRM for photographers

Set abig goal, a stretch from what you would normally make in your business. Not so much that it paralyses you, but big enough to get you excited. Plus set a deadline in what time you will achieve that goal. 12 Weeks seem to be the best period to go after bigger goals.

Crucial; decide what you will do when you reach that goal. If your goal is money earned, what will that money buy you. It has to be a motivating reason to step up your game. Paying off debt usually isn’t that motivating, so if you still want to include that, combine paying off debt with a beautiful other reason.

2. Create a plan to achieve that goal

Now we’re on to the fun part. Define where you want to focus your efforts. If you have tracked your data for the past, you know what your average traffic numbers are and how they convert at your website into inquiries. If your goal is to get more bookings, you can increase the traffic. Find ways to increase traffic to your site.

Google can help you there. But this is one I liked before:

Get your first million visitors – free email course. You get regular emails with tactics you can implement and measure! See what works for you.

3. Use a project planning tool in your photography business

Whenever I talk to people about extra projects to grow their business, they reply with ‘I don’t have time’ or ‘I don’t know where to start’. Usually, this is because they don’t have an overview in their business. Once you create that overview, you know exactly where you are, and surprise surprise, you usually have more time than you think.

So if you have not done that already, sign up for a CRM tool for photographers, or a project planning tool for photographers. I’ll make it easy for you, there is one right here :).

This way you will not get distracted / overwhelmed in your day-2-day business because you know everything is being handled.
You are on top of things; your clients will get their products or images within the promised deadlines, and you have spare time to work on your business.
